As you all know, we are searching for things to do to keep boredom at bay. Here are 5 things you (and your children) can do while keeping your social distance.

#1 – Writing a report about a different country, state or city

What a better way to understand a different country, state or city then to find out different facts about that place?! Such as in the state of Texas, our flower is the Bluebonnet. In Belgium, the majority of the population is made up of Flemish-speaking Belgians and French-speaking Belgians. What fun facts can you find?

#2 – Virtually Visit Museums in other Countries

A lot of fabulous world-class museums have created virtual tours of their grounds and have posted them online. Here is a list of them: https://www.travelandleisure.com/attractions/museums-galleries/museums-with-virtual-tours

#3 – Missing your favorite theme park? Try riding one of your favorite rides virtually!

There are a ton of YouTube videos of rides from theme parks all over the country. I know when we were preparing my daughter for her Disneyland trip in February, I showed her a lot of videos of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Splash Mountain, and other favorites at Disneyland. Also, when she was little, I would place her in a laundry basket and bounce her on my legs pretending we were on a roller coaster.

#4 – Little Passports

I have mentioned Little Passports in a previous blog. Little Passports allows kids from age of 6 to 10 years old to start exploring the world. In each kit, you will receive a package with activity sheets, along with souvenirs, photos, stickers, and online games and activities. https://www.littlepassports.com/

#5 – Make a recipe from a different country!

Try your hand at making Polish Perogies or how about making homemade hummus? There are so many different recipes to try from all over the world! This is a great way to expand your child’s palate as well as your own. How about this homemade potato gnocchi recipe? https://tasty.co/recipe/easy-homemade-potato-gnocchi

I hope these ideas helped the bite of the travel bug. I know we will all get through this together and please, please, please when you decide to book your next trip book with a TRAVEL AGENT! Be well and safe, everyone!
