It is that time of year again! It is time to release my top 5 destinations where to go in 2020!

#1 – Italy

Italy is always at the top of many people’s bucket list. I will travel to Rome, Florence, and Venice in April. As you are well aware, Italy is full of history and amazing gastronomy, but it is also beautiful in nature. If you get the chance, go visit Lake Como or go see the Dolomite mountains in Northeastern Italy.

#2 – Galapagos

The best time to travel to the Galapagos for the weather is December to June when it is warm and wet. Yes, you might catch a shower or two but the waters are calmer and the water is clearer during this time. The Galapagos Islands are home to many types of wildlife that are only found in the Galapagos Islands including a specific kind of tortoise and penguins. There are many different ways to see the Galapagos. The most popular way is by cruise. Celebrity Cruise Lines recently debuted the Celebrity Flora in June of 2019. This mega yacht accommodates 100 passengers which creates a luxuriously intimate setting in iconic beauty.

#3 – Quebec City

Want to stay closer to home and want a vacation with a European vibe? Visit Quebec City! Quebec City is the second-largest city in Quebec (Montreal being the first). Quebec City is a Unesco Heritage site.  Most folks are looking for a warm getaway in the winter but there are plenty of things to see and do in Quebec City in the winter. Quebec City is home to the only Ice Hotel in North America. If you consider yourself a snow bunny, there are plenty of opportunities for snowshoeing, cross country skiing and even dog sledding!

#4 – Vietnam

River cruises and land tours are becoming so very popular in Vietnam. The beauty of the country is captivating, the food is exquisite and the history is fascinating. A typical river cruise itinerary will combine Vietnam with a trip to Siem Reap, Cambodia. I know whatever way you wish to travel, your trip to Vietnam will be one to remember!

#5 – Los Angeles

How about a weekend break to LA? I recently found crazy inexpensive tickets from Houston to LA for less than $200 round trip! Of course, that is flying basic economy, but it gets me there. I decided to do a long weekend with my husband and daughter to Disneyland! With the opening of the new Star Wars Rise of the Resistance ride, we are totally stoked for our weekend break.

That is my top 5 list of where I think you should go in 2020. Where are you headed? What is on your list?
